Open Call

This Producers Residency is a new initiative of the Film Talent Academy, created for emerging producers who are looking to build international collaborations and discover new Short film and First Feature film projects.

Taking place during the Linz International Short Film Festival (14–17 October), the residency brings together a selected group of producers with the international filmmakers participating in the Film Talent Academy Labs.

As a residency guest, you will have the opportunity to:

• Attend the Film Talent Academy pitch sessions, where directors present their Short and First Feature film projects.
• Participate in curated networking sessions with filmmakers, fellow producers and other guests of the festival.
• Meet emerging directors seeking producing partners for future collaborations.
• Attend festival screenings, talks, industry events and parties.
• Become part of an international network of emerging film professionals.

This residency is designed for producers interested in developing new creative partnerships and discovering promising projects at an early stage.

Who Can Apply?

We welcome emerging producers from around the world who:

• Have experience producing or co-producing Short films or Feature films and are developing their producing career.
• Are looking to collaborate internationally.
• Are interested in discovering new directing talent and developing future projects.

• A short motivation statement (maximum one paragraph) explaining why you would like to participate in the Producers Residence and what you hope to gain from the experience.

Selected participants will be invited as residency guests during the festival.
